Club Update 6th October 2019
Hi Everyone,
We hope this current spell of wet weather soon passes so we can get back to playing tennis. We have a number of updates in this email:-
We are delighted to welcome Josh Bayliss to our coaching team, he will be delivering our Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening sessions for the remainder of the current coaching block and will be working with the existing coaching team. Josh is a Level 3 coach originating from Wetherby who is currently studying Sport Science & Coaching at Northumbria University. I am sure you will join us in welcoming Josh to the club and will give him all of the support he needs.
Coaching Programme
We are currently reviewing the existing coaching programme to identify any gaps or opportunities to provide our members with more coaching and playing opportunities. We then intend discussion this with you at a forthcoming Members Meeting.
LTA Health Check
We are still awaiting the results of the recent LTA Health Check, when received the outcomes will be shared with you at the Members Meeting. We hope the LTA consider the club to be well run, however, we will be looking to implement any recommendations for improvement. We will also discuss this, explain how the areas of assessment link to how the club is run and ask for your views at the Members Meeting.
LTA Club Accreditation
We have completed the LTA Accreditation process successfully meaning the club meets all necessary criteria and is fully insured.
Member Meeting
We are finalising a date to hold a Members Meeting where we will discuss our plans for the future of the club, discuss a number of important issues effecting all members and take feedback on what you would like from the club and any ways we can improve what we do. It is likely this will be held before October Half Term so please keep a look out for future emails, we want as many members as possible to participate in the meeting.
